Objectives
Towards pursuing the project’s goals, the following main objectives are identified, each one associated with one or more specific exploitable project outputs.
Project outputs are categorized as follows:

Objective 1: The detailed design and specification of an integrated NFV-enabled architecture for the provision and maintenance of composite network services (network connectivity + Network Functions as a Service)

Objective 2: The implementation of the T-NOVA Orchestrator for federated management of Network and Cloud resources for NF accommodation

Objective 3: The implementation of an SDN Control Plane, leveraging Openflow technology, for network management, slicing and QoS provisioning, accompanied by a universal SDK for development of SDN control applications

Objective 4: The establishment of a common, multi-actor Repository for NF publication and exchange (“Function Store”)

Objective 5: The implementation of a control framework for the configuration and monitoring of virtualized Network Functions

Objective 6: The implementation of a set of tools for the realization of an “NFV Marketplace” within the T-NOVA architecture

Objective 7: The development of sample functions for the demonstration and assessment of the T-NOVA platform

Objective 8: The deployment of the T-NOVA architecture in several pilot sites, and the testing against solidly defined Use Cases.

Objective 9: The study of a business model and elaboration of associated business plans for the T-NOVA architecture, addressing all involved actors.
