T-NOVA Orchestration and Marketplace Components
TeNOR is the NFV Orchestrator platform developed by the T-NOVA project, responsible for managing the entire NFV lifecycle service. Contributed by PT Inovacao and I2CAT.
T-NOVA has defined an extension of the ETSI ISG NFV Information Model for the NFV Descriptors i.e VNFD, NSD, VNFFGD and VLD. The descriptors are used and validated by TeNOR and at the end translated to HOT Templates (Openstack HEAT).
The T-NOVA Infrastructure Repository is a tool that provides centralized collection and persistence of infrastructure related information available from an infrastructure virtualization and management layer build with open source components including OpenStack and OpenDaylight.
The T-NOVA Marketplace includes a set of services to facilitate the involvement of multiple stakeholders via the T-NOVA system. Includes a user-friendly GUI for network service composition, request, management and monitoring. Contributed by ATOS and TEI of Crete.
The WICM manages traffic between NFVI-PoPs (Points of Presence) and dictates traffic steering. Contributed by PT Inovacao.
The VIM Monitoring Framework aggregates monitoring data from multiple sources, including VNF services and infrastructure, filters them and feeds them to the Orchestrator. Contributed by Space Hellas.
Cyclops enables rating-billing-charging operations within the T-NOVA system. Contributed by ZHAW.
The Network Function Store where the 3rd party developer VNFs are stored along with their metadata and manifestation.
T-NOVA Proof of Concept VNFs
The vTC VNF analyzes traffic in real-time and prioritizes each flow according to the application to which it belongs. Optimised to take advantage of hardware acceleration features. Contributed by NCSR “Demokritos”.
The vHG VNF is the virtualised version of an intelligent, media-oriented home gateway. Contributed by Viotech.
